Meet John W. Tucker
A Truth Seeker
I am a seeker of truth, and as a professing Christian I read the Bible almost every day. I once was a children’s church leader, a senior pastor, and volunteer with Youth For Christ. I grew up in a Christian home and have known the Lord Jesus since I was a child.
My Education
Just a bit about my studies: I graduated from high school (barely) with a diploma; graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Drama; graduated from Seminary with a Master of Divinity; received a certificate in Facilities Maintenance from Community College, and a certificate in paralegal from Denver Paralegal Institute in Colorado Springs.
Down To Earth
Don’t let my education scare you. It scares me because I should have studied harder and been a professor somewhere. But instead, I was an assistant manager at Goodwill Industries for a while, a custodian for a school district, and a city bus driver, for many years. I’m a down to earth guy with lots of writing experience under my belt, and I’m still learning!
I’ve also written an in-depth Bible study titled Integrity and God’s Man, and I invite men to cultivate their integrity in creative, challenging ways.
My Purpose: Share Our Stories, and How They Affect Us
My overall purpose for this website is to reach out to young and old, those interested in “STORIES.” Fiction and non-fiction, song stories, plays, musicals, skits, silly stories, poetry, and anything that interests us writers. I especially enjoy those that have a positive ending or moral that helps us remember God’s presence, that God is sovereign, even when bad things happen.
My Books
I’ve written and published a trilogy for kids ages 8-17 years old. Dragon Riders of The Realm is about two fourteen-year old boys, (James and Kevin) and their siblings, Jessie (10), and Christopher (9). It’s how they handle bullying, decision-making, loss, and other themes.
I’ve also written and published a Bible study for grown men on the subject of integrity. It’s title: Integrity and God’s Man. Bible passages, character studies, and questions for pondering.
