Beating Depression! – 2

Daily write a letter to someone imaginary and tell them all about your dreams; Exercise by turning good habits into regular habits; Pray to God for good, safe friends who will call or visit; Remember to keep singing, keep growing, keep active at home or wherever you are; Everyone needs to stay in touch with others, just to talk; Search for books with humorous stories, and movies that will make you laugh — like Laurel and Hardy or Abbott and Costello movies; Serve where you are, in the kitchen, in the laundry, in other areas where the staff needs help; Introduce yourself to someone and be ready with a few questions to ask about them — their name, age, occupation, their likes and dislikes; Open up and sing something from church or a music class at school, or a song a friend taught you; Now, go take a walk if you can, or walk inside around the furniture and count the chairs, count the pictures on the wall, or count everything and see which group of things has the most in it!
