- Like Gideon, we find ourselves hiding, From the people whose power we despise; There we are, down in some winepress, And the Lord Jesus hears our cries.
2. We feel helpless, lonely, and flustered, As if God has abandoned us there; We have lost our joyful spirit, And are caught in turmoil and despair.
