In Other Words – 6

(NLT) Ps. 103:

3 “He forgives all my sins (To for – give means to give Himself in replacing our sins; He placed Himself before us, when we were being accused; He stood in the way and our sins’ punishment never reached or touched us, because He accepted its full measure on our behalf)

and heals all my diseases. (The healing agent of my diseases is the blood of Christ; ‘we were healed’ at Calvary and we’re being healed as we walk in faith; all our diseases means any ailment that touches our mind, soul, spirit, or body; all means all known and unknown ailments, and all of our being, not just the part that hurts or is challenged).

4 He redeems me from death (redemption is the exchange of His life for mine; His righteousness for my unrighteousness; His honor and glory bestowed on His beloved children, you and me, so we can be seated with Him in heaven; we must be holy because He is holy [1 Pet. 1:18; 4:12-19/Eph. 1:12-14/1 Jn. 2:29; Isa. 53:4, 5, 11, 12; 1 Cor. 5:21]. We received what He deserved: life; He received what we deserved: death!

and crowns me with love and tender mercies (no one can fathom or understand God’s true love for us by sending Jesus Christ to die in our place! If you understand Narnia and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, you will begin to comprehend God’s true character, and kingdom.
