(NLT) Ps. 103: 5a “He fills my life with good things.“ (He, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit finds every area of my life that lacks, and pushes the good, the right, the best, the fulness of Himself, into those areas! God wants us full of Himself! The God of creation knows my every need and offers it to me freely. I just have to ask! Good things are those living, breathing, organic, life-giving things — health, wholeness, liveliness, strength, peace, hope, joy, breath, oxygen, clean water, contentment, rest, vacation, opportunity, delight, and freedom!
5b “My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” (No matter your age, God gives us strength and stamina to fulfill His divine purposes. No enemy, no demon of hell, no unfriendly person, no false god or charm. or fake idol or saying can do what our conquering God promises to do! He gives us the victory through Jesus Christ, so our youth is renewed like the eagle’s! Study the ways of the eagle, especially the young eagle! God enhances us, revives us, renews us as if we were young again, or in similar fashion to that of a young eagle. Don’t give in to the fleshly complaints of the flesh. Trust our mighty God to do what He says He will do!
6 “The LORD gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly.” Read Isa. 58:6-14 and see how our God defines true fasting! True fasting is actively caring for the oppressed! Actively caring for the homeless! Volunteering for the Rescue Mission in your city! Let’s get out of our dull living, our routine lives, and reach out to all who are ‘less than,’ and ‘worse off,’ than us. If there really is a God, God is saying we represent Him, by being like Him, to all who are oppressed! When we give ‘of ourselves’ to others, we give ‘to ourselves.’
