Adam: “Now that we’re outside the Garden, and learning what it’s like to be on our own, alienated from God, I can tell you, disobedience leads to
5) the cursed ground;
6) a woman’s labor pains in childbirth;
7) knowledge about the snake (Satan), who is a fallen angel and sends his demons to inhabit and hurt people;
8) that God still loves His created ones and will make a way back to Him if we ask for His help and wisdom;
9) as long as we’re alive, we have a mandate to fill the earth with more people through reproduction and building the family God commanded us to; and
10) God has a plan we may not understand, but since we were created by Him, He will never forget us! He has a plan that includes us, even though we’ve sinned. Eve and I choose to believe this, stand on it, and expect God’s help no matter how hard it gets!
Yes, we lost a son to murder and have grieved often. And yes, we have a third son, and trust God will help us raise him properly. All we know is that God is in charge of it all! That’s where we choose to stand!”
